Our love affair with Teppanyaki Kyoto started almost a decade ago. We decided to have a meal here to get a baseline before leaving for our honeymoon in Japan, that way the experience would be fresh in our minds. There was not a single bite we had anywhere in Japan... not in Tokyo, not in the countryside... not near Mount Fuji, that exceeded the taste, preparation or quality of this restaurant. It is 100% authentic and an absolute gem. We are so lucky to have this wonderful restaurant in our city. In the just under a decade we have been going to this restaurant it has ALWAYS been consistent, delicious, never a mishap or mistake, never a rude waiter or waitress and above all, we have always been welcomed for a delicious meal.

I had a wonderful experience! The atmosphere and service were great and the food was phenomenal. I actually spent three weeks in Japan traveling to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Kagoshima this past spring, and the food at this restaurant is exactly like the food I had overseas. It was like being in the country again! Very authentic and full of taste. I will be back!

LOVED LOVED the food from this restaurant. It definitely took me back to my time living in Japan. Delicious and amazing staff. I wanted pork tonkatsu but their menu only offered Miso Katsu, they made the change. Their yakisoba and Okonomiyaki was delicious as well!

Wow! Went there tonight, service was fast, friendly and perfect! The atmosphere was very relaxing and contemporary. These were all exceptional and I can't decide what was better, the service or the food! We got the Curry Yakisoba, the sushi special they were running and the fried dumplings. Everything was  sincerely incredible. Best Japanese restaurant by far. This place is so authentic.

This restaurant came highly recommended by friends and it did not disappoint! Visited this past weekend to celebrate a family birthday and we had such a lovely time. We ordered many dishes all to share, and our server expertly coursed out the food and offered excellent recommendations. The kimchi was to die for- could have eaten an entire serving myself! Loved the silken tofu, and my brother in law said the shrimp tempura was the best he’d ever had. Can’t wait to come back!
